Liverpool youngster Jarrell Quansah has labelled last night’s draw at Craven Cottage as a ‘special feeling’.

Jurgen Klopp’s men picked up a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage which ultimately saw them book their place in the final of the Carabao Cup.

Luis Diaz’s goal proved to be enough for the visitors after winning the first leg 2-1 at Anfield.

Klopp opted to hand Jarell Quansah some minutes in central defence as the 20-year-old started alongside Virgil van Dijk.

Conor Bradley also continued at right-back after an impressive Premier League debut at Bournemouth on Sunday.

Both Bradley and Quansah put in solid displays on the night, helping Liverpool book their spot at Wembley.

And Quansah has admitted it was a ‘special’ moment to play alongside Bradley in a semi-final for the Reds on Wednesday night.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Quansah reflected on a memorable evening at Craven Cottage.

“It’s all about rhythm,” the youngster said. “You have to keep playing. I felt a little bit rusty out there tonight, I have not played in a few weeks.

“But it’s all about playing games and doing it with Conor is special for me as well, as I have played with him for almost 10 years now and sharing a pitch with him tonight was a special feeling.”

Quansah has put in some impressive performances for Liverpool already this season and seems to have a bright future ahead of him.

Bradley has also emerged as an exciting option at right-back for Klopp and has now put in two promising displays in recent days.

You can understand why Quansah was delighted to have started such a big game alongside his fellow academy graduate.

Both players have probably worked tirelessly to get an opportunity at Liverpool and to play in a semi-final alongside each other would have been surreal for the duo.
