Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp praised Harry Wilson for his brilliant assist for Fulham last night.
The Reds booked their place in the final of the Carabao Cup thanks to a 3-2 win on aggregate yesterday. Fulham made it difficult for the Reds, especially after Wilson came on, but Klopp’s side did enough to come out on top in the end.

Harry Wilson spent nearly 16 years at Liverpool.
The Welshman joined the Reds at Under-9s level and progressed his way through the ranks. He went on plenty of loan spells but only managed two senior appearances for Liverpool‘s senior side.
In the summer of 2021, it became clear to Wilson that he had to leave the club on a permanent deal. Fulham came calling and he joined the Lilywhites for just £12 million (Sky Sports).
Last night, Wilson came off the bench for Fulham against Liverpool and had a huge impact.
He produced a brilliant bit of skill to get past Conor Bradley before providing an assist for Issa Diop’s goal. Then, he almost scored a brilliant goal himself from distance, but Caoimhín Kelleher denied him with a top save.
Jurgen Klopp was full of praise for his own side after the game, but he also took a second to appreciate Wilson’s performance off the bench.
He told BBC Radio 5 Live: “Outstanding and I am so happy this was a proper cup game and a cup tie over both legs. Nobody thought we would go through easily and that wasn’t the case. Fulham did everything and they threw everything on the pitch.
“We started well with not only the goal, but the whole performance we was really flexible. After half an hour our foot slipped off the gas and it was more open, we should have scored a second one and in the second half we should have scored a third one.
“Then they scored, it is sensational from Harry [Wilson].
“We had to bring it over the line and we are really looking forward to Wembley. It is a tough period, but we have had the time off and now they come thick and fast.”

Liverpool were made to work really hard by Fulham over two legs.
Marco Silva‘s side are not an easy team to beat, but Liverpool did what they had to do, and they now take on Chelsea in the final next month.
Anything can happen in a final – we’ve seen that plenty of times over the years. However, Liverpool will go into the game as absolute favourites and they will back themselves to win the Carabao Cup.
If they do lift that trophy, it could give them the push they need to go all the way in the other three competitions as well.
