Liverpool picked up an emphatic victory against West Ham United last night, and Curtis Jones’ performance seems to have impressed Ryan Gravenberch, Virgil van Dijk and many others.
Jurgen Klopp’s men were always the favourites to win the game, but nobody really expected to see them demolish the Hammers. The Reds were the better side from start to finish and smashed five past West Ham. Jones scored two of those five goals.
Ryan Gravenberch and Virgil van Dijk blown away by Liverpool’s Curtis Jones
Liverpool fans expected their side to win the game against West Ham last night, but not many would’ve predicted Curtis Jones to steal the show the way he did.
The 22-year-old, who was named the Man of the Match, was absolutely incredible for the Reds.
Jones started in midfield alongside Wataru Endo and Dominik Szoboszlai, and without forgetting his defensive duties, he had a huge impact in the final third.
The Englishman scored from a tight angle to double Liverpool’s lead before finding the net again after a fantastic run from midfield. Jurgen Klopp absolutely loved his second strike.
Jones took to Instagram to celebrate his brace and the win last night.
Ryan Gravenberch replied with two exploding head emojis, suggesting that he was blown away by his teammate’s performance. Virgil van Dijk, Endo and Harvey Elliott also showed Jones some love.

Curtis Jones was absolutely brilliant for Liverpool against West Ham last night.
The Reds were never in doubt of winning the game, but Jones’ fantastic performance made it so much more easier for Jurgen Klopp‘s side to book their place in the semi-finals.
Jones played the full game and was given a terrific 9.1 rating on SofaScore – higher than any other player on the pitch.
He had 89 touches of the ball and completed 62 of his 67 attempted passes, maintaining a solid 93 per cent passing accuracy. The 22-year-old also completed 100 per cent of his dribbles and the two brilliant goals he scored put the icing on the cake.
We think Jones deserves to start for Liverpool when Arsenal come to town on Saturday.
