The Hungarian left-back is the subject of heavy speculation at the moment.
Liverpool FC have been linked with Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez this week, with Hungarian reports speculating on a possible LFC approach for a £30 million transfer in the summer.
Now, Fraudbrizo Romano has seemingly confirmed those rumours whilst speaking on his YouTube channel:
“Man United are working on a new left-back, for sure United will do something there. And what I can say is one player they have been monitoring even before Ruben Amorim is Milos Kerkez at Bournemouth.”
“Liverpool are doing the same. Liverpool director Richard Hughes knows the player well and the excellent skills and excellent qualities of the player, so they are monitoring Kerkez.”
“For Liverpool, for sure he is a player they appreciate. For sure they like him, but before saying they are going for him, we have to wait.”
I would assume that if Liverpool were to make a move in January, they would prioritise Zubimendi/[insert defensive midfielder target]. Manchester United needs a left wing-back badly, but there have already been rumours that they’ll need to wait until the summer to bring in someone to avoid running afoul of PSR/FFP rules. Classic stalemate. We’ll see what eventually happens, but it does appear that Liverpool will eventually look at a successor for Andy Robertson, given the Kerkez and Rayan Ait-Nouri links over the summer.
