29-year-old France international Adrien Rabiot is looking to leave Juventus.
Liverpool are said to be interested in the free transfer of 29-year-old Adrien Rabiot. The midfielder is currently at Juventus. The Italian titans are said to be keen to keep him in their ranks, and have apparently offered him a new two-year contract to stay.
Liverpool have had a long interest in the France international, along with other Premier League clubs. In particular, Manchester United tried to snap up the player during the last summer transfer window. However, it’s said that Rabiot’s high wage demands were a hindrance to the move going through.
With the likes of Real Madrid also in the mix, the high wage demands might also be enough to count the Reds out of the running, as they have wage structure that they’re unlikely to break for a 29-year-old player.
Making things difficult are the Euros currently happening, as Rabiot is representing France in the competition.
It’s still early yet, but so far Liverpool have not made any big transfer moves, at least as far as we know. Behind the scenes, the usual wheeling and dealing is surely happening as the club looks to give Arne Slot a strong start to his Liverpool tenure.
It’s unclear yet if those plans include Rabiot or any other player that has been linked to the club so far. As the summer progresses, we will start to get a clearer understanding of Slot’s vision for his team moving forward.
