Pulisic has been intermittently linked with a move to Anfield since before Covid and as such we’re skeptical of the latest reports out of Italy.
Christian Pulisic has been intermittently linked with a move to Liverpool since the United States international was plying his trade with Borussia Dortmund in Germany before Covid swept its way around the globe.
Which is to say that Christian Pulisic has been linked with Liverpool enough times over enough years and while with enough different clubs that, if we’re being honest, we just assume any new link is the work of lazy rumour mongers.
Still, it’s the international break, and with club news down to a trickle we’ve got nothing much better to talk about than the latest chatter out of Italy, which has the current AC Milan man on the Reds’ January radar.
According to Calcio Mercato, West Ham are the current likeliest suitors for Pulisic, but with manager Julen Lopetegui at risk of the sack while the Hammers flounder in 14th, that move is a long way from being a sure thing.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are said to still have an interest in Pulisic—as they supposedly did back in 2018 and 2019 at Dortmund, and then again following his less than successful move to join Chelsea in the Premier League.
The Reds also have some awfully big and pressing questions surrounding superstar attacker Mohamed Salah, which that Italian chatter have as another mark in the why Liverpool might want to sign Christian Pulisic bucket.
We are, again, skeptical. Then again, if he did join Liverpool he wouldn’t be the first player linked with the Reds who went to Chelsea instead before rehabilitating his career in Italy. So there’s that. Maybe. But probably not.
