With Leeds needing to sell to balance the books, clubs—including Liverpool—are said to be circling around Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville.
Liverpool have been regularly linked with Leeds’ 22-year-old Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville in recent months, with the youngster having recently been named Leeds’ player of the season and to the Championship’s team of the season.
However, they aren’t the only reportedly interested club, and this week brings with it a new potential suitor by way of Crystal Palace. At least according to The Mirror, that is, with the claim being that Palace see Summerville as the ideal Michael Olise replacement.
Should Olise depart—to Manchester United, Chelsea, or Newcastle perhaps—in the coming months, the dynamic, goal scoring winger Summerville would be the target. However, it does feel a bit as though Palace are arriving late to the party.
In addition to regular chatter around Liverpool’s supposed interest, there has also been talk of Chelsea and Aston Villa interest—and all three clubs would seem better positioned to woo the player should their reported interest in him turn out to be genuine.
What does seem fairly clear, though, is that with Leeds failing to win promotion and needing to sell to balance the books this summer, the £30M-rated Summerville is amongst their most saleable assets and is likely to end up in the Premier League.
