Xabi Alonso is ready to take over from Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool – and already has two transfer targets in mind.
That is according to TEAMtalk.
So, who does Xabi Alonso want at Liverpool? Let’s take a look…
Xabi Alonso wants Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz at Liverpool
Well – according to TEAMtalk – the Spaniard would like to sign Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz when he arrives at Anfield.
It is said that Alonso has been offered a three-year contract by Liverpool following positive discussions, and the 42-year-old believes he is capable of replacing Klopp.
To make the switch from Bayer Leverkusen to Liverpool a bit simpler for the man from Tolosa, he intends to bring two of his star men with him in Wirtz and Frimpong.
The duo have played a significant role this season as Bayer Leverkusen remarkably sit eight points clear of Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga.

In regards to Frimpong, the Dutchman has arguably been the standout right-back across Europe, scoring nine goals while assisting a further ten in just 29 games.
Jeremie Frimpong has already said he would love to join Liverpool
In our view, Wirtz will be a difficult signing for Alonso to pull off – the Germany international is valued at £111m by Bayer Leverkusen.
Frimpong – however – could be a lot easier to sign, as the Netherlands international has already admitted he would love to join Liverpool.
The Bayer Leverkusen No.30 told Ziggo Sport: “Liverpool? Great club, with history. That would be great. Who knows what the future will bring.”

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Alonso targets Frimpong and Wirtz.
