Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is expected to start forward Roberto Firmino against Manchester United tonight.
Firmino has only made one appearance this season, starting Liverpool’s disappointing opening day draw to Fulham, and Klopp admitted Firmino didn’t play well against the Championship champions.

However, speaking at his press conference on Friday, Klopp provided a positive update, saying: “He trained yesterday (Thursday) and he is ready.”
Firmino expected to start against Manchester United
Firmino’s recent form for Liverpool hasn’t been brilliant, failing to score since netting a brace against Benfica in the Champions League quarter-finals against Benfica in April.
The signing of Darwin Nunez from the Portuguese side this summer has put more pressure on Firmino, with his place in the starting line-up now in doubt.
However, Nunez’s sending off against Crystal Palace has given Firmino a chance to prove his worth once again.

Manchester United are in turmoil right now, having lost their opening two matches.
New manager Erik ten Hag has plenty of decisions to make ahead of tonight’s match, after admitting he wanted to bring off all 11 players at half-time when they were 4-0 down to Brentford last weekend.
Manchester United’s defence has looked particularly shaky, and this could present Firmino with the perfect chance to open his goal scoring account this season.
