A key Liverpool player is reportedly excited by the prospect of linking up with Arne Slot at Anfield.
Liverpool seem to have found their Jurgen Klopp successor in Feyenoord’s Arne Slot. It was claimed on Wednesday that both clubs wanted to announce the move this week after reaching an agreement.
While time is ticking for that to come to fruition, it seems that it’s now when and not if Slot will be announced as Liverpool’s new boss.
The 45-year-old is expected to make some changes this summer and the Reds have already been linked to a couple of key members of his Feyenoord squad.
Slot will also face key decisions over current members of the Liverpool squad, with the side very much suited to Klopp at the moment.
But according to The Mirror, one Liverpool star is looking forward to working under the Dutchman.

Despite recently being told to replace the likes of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, the latter is seemingly keen to work with his compatriot.
Indeed, The Mirror claims that Liverpool are planning to keep both Salah and Van Dijk beyond the summer.
It’s noted that the Reds skipper is also understood to be ‘excited’ by the prospect of linking up with Slot.

Despite Liverpool’s dip in form recently, Van Dijk has undoubtedly been one of their most consistent players this term.
The Dutchman, who has been lauded as ‘world-class’ by Gary Neville, was handed the armband after Jordan Henderson’s departure last summer.
Having racked up 45 appearances in all competitions this season, the 32-year-old is showing no signs of slowing down.
Slot’s style of play also boasts similarities to that of Klopp, with the Feyenoord boss’ sides renowned for their high intensity and pressing.
This should suit plenty of current Liverpool players and Van Dijk certainly falls into that category as a player who has excelled under Klopp over the past few years.
