Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou was always going to be among the names thrown in the hat to replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
Such has been the Aussies impressive and fast start to life as Spurs manager, Postecoglou was always going to get a mention or two.
Mark Lawrenson has said he’d more than welcome ‘Big Ange’ to Anfield, while Simon Jordan has also suggested Postecoglou would be a good fit for the Reds.
However, despite suggestions and links of Ange moving to Liverpool, The Telegraph reports tonight that inside Spurs, there are no fears at all as it stands.

According to the report, Tottenham feel that Postecoglou leaving for Liverpool is massively unlikely as it stands.
Indeed, it’s even claimed that should things continue in an upward trajectory, then Postecoglou could even be prepared to bunker down in north London and stay in charge for some time.
For Tottenham, that is just what they want to hear at this moment in time.
Of course, Liverpool have other targets such as Xabi Alonso and are apparently at the front of the queue when it comes to landing the Spaniard.
Postecoglou to Anfield, then, could end up being a none-starter.
So much needs to happen for this to work
Postecoglou’s reputation and the impact he’s had on Celtic and Spurs always meant he was going to be linked with the Liverpool job.
However, there’s a lot that doesn’t make sense about it. Ange is a loyal manager for one and is unlikely to jump ship after a single season.
Likewise, Liverpool are more likely to look for a young manager they can build around for the future.
Further, if Tottenham do make the top four then there’s little point in moving on anyway. Sure, Liverpool are a huge club. But Spurs are building right now and the manager is being backed.
