323 Tottenham Hotspur are considering a move for Joao Palhinha, with Dean Jones telling Give Me Sport that Spurs are monitoring the Fulham midfielder ahead of the summer.
Palhinha has been an outstanding signing for the Cottagers following his £20 million move last year. It appeared to be a real coup for the newly-promoted side to bring the Portuguese to the capital.

Marco Silva’s men look to be well on their way to ensuring that they will remain in the top-flight next year. But perhaps there is a chance that Palhinha will not be there.

Dean Jones has told Give Me Sport that both Tottenham and Liverpool want the 27-year-old. They are both admirers of the former Sporting star.
The report notes that Fulham, unsurprisingly, are desperate to keep him at Craven Cottage. So you would imagine that any side hoping to sign him is going to have to be prepared to go big to lure him away.
Tottenham’s interest is slightly intriguing. There is absolutely no question that Palhinha is an ‘excellent‘ player. And he could improve further during the peak years of his career.
But Spurs are well-stocked in the middle of the park right now. And both Pape Matar Sarr and Oliver Skipp have started to stake a claim for more game-time under Antonio Conte.
Liverpool meanwhile, absolutely need to overhaul their midfield in the near future. The Reds have been struggling this season. And there have been real issues in the middle of the park.
They have done plenty of business with Fulham down the years. And they may be hoping that that will give them an edge if they make a move for Palhinha.
