Liverpool have been handed a boost in their long-standing pursuit of Jude Bellingham, with Real Madrid now ready to move for Enzo Fernandez instead.
The Reds are among the clubs hoping to entice Bellingham to their club in the next few windows. Multiple reports have placed Liverpool at the front of the queue as things stand. However, a host of clubs like Madrid, Man City and PSG are all known to have their eyes on the England ace.
But in a potential boost for Liverpool this weekend, media outlet O’Jogo has reported that Madrid could now be ready to go for Argentina’s Enzo Fernandez instead.

Should Madrid go for Fernandez, it is yet more good news for Liverpool with Bellingham. Just this week, Ben Jacobs claimed Liverpool are ahead in the race. The journalist saying that as it stands, Bellingham himself prefers a move to Liverpool above everyone else.
TBR’s View: Bellingham to Liverpool looking more and more likely
A lot is being made of his relationship with the other Liverpool players in the World Cup with England. But even beyond that, all the reports point to Bellingham signing for Liverpool.
This from Real Madrid with Fernandez is just another boost for the Reds. Fernandez has a huge value and Madrid won’t be paying £100m twice this summer for midfielders. Remember, they still have dreams of signing Kylian Mbappe.
At the moment, Bellingham to Liverpool seems likely. And if it does happen, then the Reds have signed one of – if not the best – young player in Europe. If it happens, it’s a real statement from the Reds to the rest of the continent.
