50 Manchester United and Liverpool share a fierce rivalry – not just on the pitch but in the transfer market as well.
The two age-old rivals aren’t quite at the same level these days. Liverpool are flying, while Manchester United have had their struggles this season.
However, both teams have massive ambitions for the future, which is probably why they are being linked with moves to sign the same players.
Now, a report has claimed that one such player is actually more likely to join Manchester United this summer than Liverpool or even Arsenal.
Forward is more likely to join Manchester United than Liverpool
The upcoming summer transfer window will be an interesting one for both Manchester United and Liverpool.
The Merseysiders will have a new manager, with Jurgen Klopp set to depart at the end of the season. Whoever comes in will surely want to bring in his own players.
Manchester United, on the other hand, may have a new boss too, with Erik ten Hag’s future up in the air. They have been linked with plenty of managers, including England’s Gareth Southgate.
Irrespective of what happens, Manchester United will have to strengthen their side, and among all the names linked with a move to Old Trafford is Borussia Dortmund’s Donyell Malen.
The Dutchman, along with the Red Devils, has been rumoured to be on the wish lists of Liverpool as well as his old club Arsenal ahead of the summer window.
However, in a report by Dean Jones on SportsLens, it has been revealed that Old Trafford remains the most likely destination for Malen at the moment.
The outlet has confirmed Liverpool and Arsenal’s interest, but neither club is ‘advancing’ on the Dortmund forward now.
The report further claims that Malen is likely to leave Dortmund this summer, and Manchester United could seriously consider signing him, especially if they miss out on Michael Olise.

Thierry Henry is one of the greatest attackers football has ever seen, and he knows a good forward when he sees one.
The legendary Frenchman coached Malen when the two of them were at Arsenal, and Henry had noticed his talent back then.
Things, however, did not work out for the Dutchman at the Emirates, but Henry recently heaped praise on his development since leaving the Gunners.
Henry said last month: “I had him for a year because I was passing my badges there. It didn’t work at Arsenal for him. I thought he had some quality but at Arsenal, you have a lot of quality there.
“Then, he went to Eindhoven and played for Young PSV, that is the second team. He ended up doing brilliantly, which I’m very happy because at the very beginning, people were doubting him.
“He trusted himself and his quality and with his family, he made it happen.”
