One top manager is now keen to replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool – as the Reds prepare to wave goodbye to the German.
The hunt for a new manager has dominated headlines ever since the 56-year-old announced his decision back in January.
Xabi Alonso was the people’s choice before the Spaniard revealed he would be staying with Bayer Leverkusen.
There has also been some discussion about Julian Nagelsmann – although a lot depends on whether the German FA extend his contract after UEFA EURO 2024 this summer.
Now – however – one of Europe’s best coaches is believed to want the Liverpool job…
One of the best managers around wants to replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool
Well – according to the Independent – Ruben Amorim would like to take over at Anfield.

The Spanish giants are also on the lookout for a new manager after Xavi decided to step down, like Klopp.
However, the Independent believe that Amorim would prefer to join Liverpool than Barcelona.
It comes after Portuguese journalist Pedro Sepulveda claimed that Liverpool had already started talks with the 39-year-old about replacing Klopp.
Amorim has added further credence to his blossoming managerial career this season by guiding Sporting CP to the top of the Primeira Liga, with the Portuguese giants on course to win a second league title in three years under the Liverpool target’s guidance.
The man from Lisbon’s first Primeira Liga title came back in 2021, when he ended Sporting CP’s 19-year wait for league glory in his first full campaign at the club.
Clearly, Amorim is a highly talented coach, and it is no wonder Michael Edwards likes him.
Two players could get even better under Ruben Amorim
If Amorim does replace Klopp, we would expect Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez to get even better.

Amorim presumably did a lot of homework on Diaz and Nunez when preparing for games, so he should know all about them, and also how to get the best out of the duo.
