Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are now facing a serious threat from Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City for Khephren Thuram.
That is according to TuttoJuve, which has noted what City’s plan is for Thuram.
So, what has been reported about Liverpool and Manchester City target Khephren Thuram? Let’s take a look.
Manchester City could bid for Liverpool target Khephren Thuram
Well, according to TuttoJuve, Manchester City are looking at Khephren Thuram as a potential replacement for Kalvin Phillips.
England international midfielder Phillips is struggling for playing time at City and could leave in the January transfer window. Arsenal and Liverpool are among the clubs who have been linked with the former Leeds United star.

The report has noted that Liverpool and Juventus also really like Thuram. The former Premier League champions and the Serie A giants have long been looking at the 22-year-old France international midfielder, who would cost €40 million £34.30 million) in transfer fees.
Manchester City need Khephren Thuram more than Liverpool
In my view, Manchester City have an advantage over Liverpool for Khephren Thuram. The Citizens could need a central/defensive midfielder if Kalvin Phillips leaves.
True, Rodri is the main defensive midfielder in the City squad, but manager Pep Guardiola will surely want to have options.
Thuram is only 22 and has huge potential. He was described as “fantastic” by Nice’s former caretaker-manager Didier Digard on RMC Sport. City could splash the cash in the middle of the season and bring him in.
Liverpool are not exactly in desperate need of another midfielder now. After all, the Reds brought in Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch in the summer of 2023.
