382 Liverpool are very interested in signing Youri Tielemans, but Sport in Spain has reported that Barcelona have made contact with his representatives about a future move to Camp Nou.
Tielemans’ future remains a talking point. Of course, his contract with Leicester City expires at the end of the season. And it seems that he is not currently planning to extend his deal at the King Power Stadium.

Sport notes that the Belgian is not planning to make a decision on his future until after the World Cup. But it does seem that a number of sides are poised in the race.

According to Sport, the Reds are one of the Premier League sides very interested in signing Tielemans. Meanwhile, Barcelona have been admirers for a number of years.

The Catalan giants have reached out to the 25-year-old’s representatives to find out about his situation.
Liverpool absolutely have to strengthen their midfield ranks in one of the coming windows. Of course, it has been a really poor start to the campaign. So that may take some of the pressure off heading into January.
In fairness, Tielemans has not had the best time at Leicester in recent months. Perhaps talk about his future has had a negative impact on his form with the Foxes.
Having said that, he has proved that he is a quality operator in the Premier League. There is a reason why the likes of Liverpool, Barcelona, and previously Arsenal are all admirers.
Tielemans is an ‘special‘ talent. And at 25, he has more than enough time to get his career back on track elsewhere.
Perhaps Liverpool fans may be a little underwhelmed about the prospect of signing Tielemans now. But given his availability, there may be scope for a future move to prove an absolute bargain.
