Liverpool scouts have now been watching one forward in person this week as plans continue to take shape ahead of Arne Slot’s arrival.

Jurgen Klopp will say goodbye to Liverpool fans at Anfield today when his side face Wolverhampton Wanderers in his final game in charge.

And whilst it will be an emotional day for all involved, fans will share Klopp’s optimism for Slot’s new chapter that will begin next season.

That being said, behind the scenes Liverpool’s recruitment department will already be working diligently to ensure that Arne Slot has a squad capable of projecting his image.

Slot’s Feyenoord team are as impressive without the ball as they are with it, something that can be said of Liverpool right now.

And when it comes to creating scoring opportunities there has been a huge emphasis on Feyenoord’s wingers this season.

That’s likely to be something that continues at Anfield, and fortunately Liverpool do boast a wealth of talent on the wings.

But that being said, according to TuttoJuve, they may still be keen to add to that strength.

Liverpool scouts watched Juventus’ Federico Chiesa in Italian Cup final this week

Liverpool are said to have long-standing interest in Juventus winger Federico Chiesa who is earmarked as someone capable of replacing Mohamed Salah.

The Liverpool legend doesn’t seem to be on the cusp of leaving the club just yet, but may deem it necessary to address the situation now regardless.

Luis Diaz has also been linked with a move to Barcelona, even if that deal seems similarly unlikely right now.

But according to the report mentioned, Liverpool staff are absolutely convinced about Chiesa’s quality, who could be available for around £52m.

Scouts watched the Italian in Juventus’ cup final win over Atalanta on Wednesday, when he played up top alongside Dusan Vlahovic in a 3-5-2.

The ‘electric’ winger can also play on either flank, a versatile profile that could really suit Slot’s style of play.

Perhaps some Liverpool fans will already feel as if their squad is well-stocked in the area, especially given the talent young Ben Doak is showing.

But signing a player of Chiesa’s quality could never be considered problematic, and Liverpool’s scouts are well-versed with his game by this point.

All that being said, Slot is said to have already told Liverpool to make one defensive signing this summer.
