There is set to be a multitude of change at Liverpool this summer with Jurgen Klopp leaving Anfield – and it remains to be seen what kind of effect that has on the playing squad, as clubs begin to circle.
While Klopp is set to go, Liverpool have already made moves to prepare for the future. Michael Edwards has returned to the club, but this time as the club’s CEO. He’s picked Richard Hughes as sporting director.
There are expected to be a number of departures in light of Klopp leaving. Mo Salah is being linked with Saudi Arabia again, and both Craig Burley and Steve Nicol think he will go if a £150m offer is tabled.
But he might not be the only player to depart. Other players will leave on a free transfer, Joel Matip for example. But another is winger Luis Diaz – who is attracting interest from one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Liverpool have a big £75m decision to make on Anfield star
The Colombia star has been loosely linked with a move to PSG in recent months, but it was also reported that not only woas he not particularly keen on a move – but that Liverpool were not keen on selling Diaz.
Labelled the best dribbler at the club, 27-year-old Diaz has three years left on his Liverpool contract. But now, a report from The Telegraph claims Liverpool could decide to sell Diaz – or give him a new contract.

Sam Edwards writes in the Telegraph that PSG are indeed interested as they eye a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who is destined for a move to Real Madrid. Cash-strapped Barcelona are also being linked.
Why selling Diaz is in Liverpool’s best interests this summer
Diaz is a top player. No doubt about it. But, he is now 27 and will turn 28 next January. His value will never be higher than it is now, as he grows closer to his thirties and with Liverpool boasting another three years.
But it must also be considered that Diaz’s stats are hardly eye-catching. Eight goals in 30 league matches this season. Bought for less than £40m, selling for the same fee as Luis Suarez’s move to Barcelona helps.
Not only because it gives Edwards and Hughes room to move in the transfer market this summer, but also because it aids Liverpool in terms of Financial Fairplay. A big loss, but maybe they should consider it.
