Liverpool have been linked with a number of midfielders in recent months.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp reportedly wants to bring in reinforcements amid expiring contracts and ageing legs.

While Jude Bellingham remains Liverpool’s top target in midfield, the Reds are likely to have other names on their list.

One of those is said to be Juventus ace and France international Adrien Rabiot.

In December, 90Min reported that Liverpool have been in regular contact with the player’s representatives.

As well as the Anfield outfit, the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea are also apparently in pursuit.

Rabiot’s Juve contract expires at the end of the season, which has led to clubs circling in hope of landing him on a free.

Now, according to Calciomercato – via Football Italia – the Bianconeri are ready to open talks with the player’s camp.

However, Juve will do so in the knowledge that Premier League offers could tempt Rabiot away from Turin.

Apparently, they will offer the same salary, circa €7million (£6.2million) per season plus add-ons.

Juve are reportedly also open to paying a bonus as soon as Rabiot puts pen to paper on a new agreement.

However, Rabiot apparently wants €10million per season, plus a high signing bonus.

Liverpool, Arsenal, City and Chelsea would be open to match his demands, added the report.

Decent shout for Liverpool?

Rabiot is a quality midfielder, who Andrea Pirlo has previously deemed a “complete player”.

His reported salary demands work out at just over £170,000-a-week.

As per Spotrac, this would make him the seventh highest-paid player at Anfield.

All in all, not a bad shout for Liverpool if they do go for him.

Rabiot did have a great World Cup for France, testament to his qualities at the highest level.

Nonetheless, there could well be a bidding war amid interest from so many clubs.
