Liverpool fans will be expecting some new signings this summer but they are now being linked with a player few would have predicted.
The Reds are looking forward to the Arne Slot era and with Michael Edwards back running proceedings, there’s an excitement around the club.
The last few transfer windows have seen the midfield rebuilt but next on the agenda could be looking at the attacking positions.

According to a report from The Daily Star, Liverpool are considering a shock play to bring in former Everton winger Anthony Gordon.
It’s suggested that Newcastle’s problems with PSR and FFP means clubs around the league are sniffing around in the hope their top stars are sold.
One of those top stars is Gordon, and it’s claimed in the report that the Magpies will look to bring in around £100m if they do have to sell.
As we know, Gordon only arrived at St James’ Park last year for around £40m and he has starred since.
Gordon has hammered home 11 goals for the Mags and laid on another 11 for his teammates over the course of the campaign.
Gordon to Liverpool would be a huge surprise

There are the obvious elements such as the massive fee needed and the fact Newcastle wouldn’t want to lose a star man like Gordon.
But as well as that, surely the winger doesn’t fancy the move to Anfield after coming through at Everton and starring for them?
Something about that wouldn’t sit right and while Liverpool are a top side, moving to the Reds from Newcastle would bring a lot negativity.
Of course, in terms of pure footballing ability and what he can bring to the table, Gordon more than suits how Liverpool play in terms of the wide forwards. Further, the winger has even admitted he models a lot of his game on Mo Salah.
But for now, this one looks a tough deal to even consider getting done.
