Liverpool have now been told how much it will cost to deliver Arne Slot his No.1 transfer target this summer.
The Dutchman inherits a squad full of world class footballers from Jurgen Klopp, including the likes of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker and many more.
However, the 45-year-old is understandably still keen to put his own stamp on the starting XI at Anfield.
Now, Liverpool have learned just how much money it will take to deliver Arne Slot‘s request…
Liverpool told Orkun Kokcu price tag
A story from Fotospor recently claimed that Slot wants to be reunited with Orkun Kokcu – and make the Turkey international his first signing at Liverpool.
The Benfica No.10 made 96 appearances under the new Liverpool boss during their time together at Feyenoord, scoring 21 goals while also providing 14 assists.
Now – according to A Bola in Portugal – Benfica will accept no less than €45m (£38m) to sell Kokcu to Slot this summer.

A Bola add that Kokcu and Slot have remained in contact ever since the Turk left Feyenoord for Benfica back in June 2023.
Thiago exit could result in attractive salary package for Arne Slot target
Following the news of Thiago Alcantara’s departure from Liverpool, the Reds now have £200,000-a-week freed up on the salary bill.

Joel Matip, another heading for the exit door at Anfield, made £100,000-a-week during his time at Liverpool, so there is now plenty of financial wriggle room for Edwards to make Kokcu an attractive contract offer.
The 23-year-old apparently earns just (relatively speaking, of course) £27,000-a-week at Benfica, so Liverpool could even double or triple his wages, therefore making us believe personal terms will not be an issue if the Reds can strike an agreement with the Portuguese giants this summer.
