Liverpool are reportedly set to loan out Luke Chambers to League One side Wigan Athletic for the remainder of the season.
The 19-year-old fullback has featured for Jurgen Klopp’s senior side this season, with Chambers making four appearances across the UEFA Europa League and League Cup for Liverpool.
However, the decision has now been made to loan out Chambers for the remainder of the campaign, with Championship and League One sides clamouring to sign the teenage defender.

Lauded by Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes as an ‘outstanding’ prospect, the teenage defender heading out on loan to the League One side could be an excellent move for Chambers development.
And having already featured for the Reds this season in Europe and the League Cup, a drop down to the English third-tier could be exactly what Chambers needs to reach his true potential.

And joining Wigan could do just that for the teenager, with the Latics proving to be an outstanding club in recent years for Premier League youngsters to cut their teeth.
Chelsea captain Reece James famously made his name at Wigan during a loan spell with the English side, and Chambers will be hopeful of replicating the England international this year.
