The idea of replacing Mohamed Salah at Liverpool is scary.
The Egyptian has been the Reds’ very best player for the best part of a decade now, and there aren’t many players in world football like him.
However, at the age of 31 and entering the final year of his contract, Liverpool now need to start thinking about what post-Salah life looks like, especially as the Saudi Arabian interest doesn’t seem to be going away.
Liverpool have been linked with a number of potential Salah replacements from Leroy Sane to Jarrod Bowen, but according to 90Min, there’s now another player on Liverpool’s list of potential Salah successors.

The 20-year-old has been making waves over in the Eredivisie over the past 12 months, and it’s clear that he has massive potential.
The report also states that Brentford are looking at making a bid, while Tottenham are also said to be keen.
At the age of just 20, Bakyaoko could be a long-term project for Liverpool, but he is an exciting talent.
He’s fantastic on the ball, and he’s also very fast. In fact, his top speed of 33.3km/h makes him quicker than Liverpool’s Luis Diaz.
Of course, if Bakayoko is to replace Salah, he needs to improve in front of goal.
Salah is coming up to 200 goals for Liverpool. Meanwhile, Bakayoko has scored just eight senior league goals in his career. However, as he’s only 20 years old, he’s got plenty of time to improve on that front.
Liverpool clearly do like the Eredivisie as a league to recruit from – as the signing of Cody Gakpo from PSV showed last season, and Gakpo could soon be reunited with his old teammate if the Reds do indeed push ahead with this deal.
This is certainly one to keep an eye on.
