Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi is reportedly on Liverpool’s radar ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s departure this summer.
Xabi Alonso is widely viewed as the frontrunner to succeed Klopp at the moment as he continues to impress at Bayer Leverkusen.
But with the Spaniard also attracting interest from the likes of Bayern Munich, Liverpool will certainly be keeping their options open at this stage.
Now, a fresh name has been thrown into the mix as Tutto Sport claims that Simone Inzaghi is of interest to the Reds.

The outlet reports that Inzaghi is receiving interest from Liverpool, as well as Chelsea and Manchester United.
It’s claimed that the 47-year-old is also on Barcelona’s radar ahead of Xavi’s departure this summer.
Liverpool will be familiar with Inzaghi’s Inter Milan side after facing off against them in the Champions League back in 2022.
Klopp’s side progressed through the last-16 with a 2-1 win on aggregate. But Inzaghi’s side did pick up a 1-0 win at Anfield in the second leg.

“We hope not to face Liverpool every game!” Inzaghi told Amazon Prime Italia.
“I am happy and proud of the team, unfortunately during our best period of the game we were not rewarded with the goal we deserved, then Liverpool scored at the first distraction we had.
“We certainly deserved more, but this performance has to augur well for what is to come in the future. Liverpool are one of the two best teams in Europe and in my view, Inter held out well and deserved more.
“We know these evenings can be like this, but it has to give us a self-esteem boost, because it was an excellent performance.
“It’s difficult to comment after a result like this, but it has to be a starting point for Inter at this level. I think this is the strongest opponent we’ve faced this season.” as quoted by TEAMtalk.
Since that defeat to Liverpool, Inzaghi’s stock has risen considerably due to the excellent job he’s done at Inter.
The Italian boss guided the Nerazzurri to a Champions League final last term and currently has his side nine points clear at the top of Serie A.
While Alonso will undoubtedly be the favoured choice among Liverpool supporters, Inzaghi would be an intriguing option for the Reds.
