Liverpool have asked for information about Fluminense captain Nino ahead of the January transfer window.
Jurgen Klopp‘s side are having a fine season in the Premier League, but they could do with some help, especially in defence. Joel Matip is ruled out for months following a serious knee injury, and Liverpool should consider replacing him. Now, they’ve been linked with a move to sign Nino.

Liverpool have had quite a few injury issues this season, haven’t they?
The Reds have been without Andy Robertson for a while, and they lost their backup left-back Kostas Tsimikas to an injury last weekend as well.
Alexis Mac Allister has also been out with a knee issue, while Joel Matip could miss the remainder of the season after rupturing his ACL.
Liverpool are quite short, especially at the back, and Alfredo Pedulla now claims that they are interested in signing Nino from Fluminense in January.
The Reds, along with Fulham, have reportedly asked for information about Nino, who helped Fluminense win the Copa Libertadores just last month.
The Brazilian, who will turn 27 in April, will enter the final year of his contract next week, and interested clubs like Liverpool can sign him for as low as €7 million (£6m).

Fluminense star Nino is expected to be a wanted man in January, and he is very highly rated in Brazil.
Analytics FC describes him as a player who is ‘aggressive’, has a ‘rugged personality’ and a defender who will ‘add some steel to any team’ in the world.
With the use of their own similar players function on Transfer Lab, the website says Nino’s style of play can be compared to Manchester United’s Lisandro Martinez, Arsenal star William Saliba, and Pierre Kalulu of AC Milan.
If Liverpool can sign someone even remotely similar to Saliba for £6 million, they shouldn’t think twice.
