370 Liverpool have been linked with Nicolo Barella on a number of occasions, including last summer.
Just after Italy won Euro 2020, La Repubblica claimed that the Reds had readied a 70m euro (£59million) offer for the midfielder.
The speculation came to nothing in the end, and Barella subsequently penned a new Inter Milan contract in November.

Now, Calciomercato.it has provided an update on the Italy international which also mentions the Anfield outfit.
The Italian outlet – via Sport Witness – claims Inter will need at least one big sale between January and next summer.
This is due to their financial situation, and no player is ‘untouchable’, not even Barella.
Apparently, there is ‘concrete’ interest in Barella, Alessandro Bastoni and Lisandro Martinez from top clubs across Europe.
Liverpool are mentioned for the midfielder as the report states he is ‘very popular’ in the Premier League.
As well as Jurgen Klopp’s side, Tottenham Hotspur also remain in pursuit of Barella, added the report.
‘Complete package’
Barella is a top talent who Italian agent Furio Valcareggi deemed the “best midfielder in the world” last year.
In February last year, scouting website Breaking the Lines lauded the Italian.
‘Nicolo Barella as a footballer is a complete package and has shown that he has more than enough talent to atone for a perceived lack of experience,’ they wrote.

Barella has hit the ground running this season, with two goals and two assists from four Serie A appearances.
But despite his efforts, Inter have lost three of their seven games so far this term, putting them seventh.
The 25-year-old also played for Italy against England and Hungary during the latest international break.
