Nottingham Forest are likely to be forced into selling a number of key players this summer after their points deduction – and Brazilian star Murillo could be one of those that leaves the City Ground.
Murillo, 21, only joined Forest last summer from Brazilian side Corinthians for a fee of £15m. But with the relegation candidates suffering a four-point deduction, they may need to cash in to bring in some funds.
Earlier this week, Arsenal were said to be looking at a move for the left-footed centre-back. Even if they go down, it looks more than likely that Murillo will remain in the premier League – or at last, leave Forest.
Described as “incredible” by Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White, defender Murillo is not only gaining interest from The Gunners ahead of the summer window. There are other Premier League clubs keen.
The Mail claim Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle are now also interested in signing the defender come the end of the window. Clubs from overseas are also interested in landing the Nottingham Forest man.

A player that Jamie Carragher has described as “outstanding”, Murillo is a top talent and one that is already proven in the Premier League. But, a player that has only played 54 club matches at senior level.
He is still largely a rookie – but he did almost score his first professional goal with a 70-yard strike against Luton Town. Paul Merson said it was almost one of the best goals in Premier League history.
Jamie Redknapp recently heaped praise on Murillo, saying the Brazilian has a “lovely left foot” – and was an absolute bargain for Forest, judging by his performance for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side this season.
He has the choice of Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle then – though it is unclear how much Forest want for Murillo. You would imagine a move to Chelsea or Newcastle gives him more game time.
