Florian Wirtz and Jonathan Tah have been named as two Bayer Leverkusen players who could follow Xabi Alonso to Liverpool this summer.
Xabi Alonso has emerged as an early favourite to replace Jurgen Klopp at Anfield at the end of the season.
The German boss will leave Liverpool this summer after nine successful years in Merseyside.
Liverpool face a pivotal decision over the coming months as they bid to find the right man to fill the void that will be left by Klopp.
Former Reds midfielder Alonso seems to be the man who’s leading the race during the early stages, with the Spaniard currently viewed as a frontrunner for the job.
And should he complete a switch to Merseyside over the summer, Bild Sport have suggested he could look at bringing Florian Wirtz and Jonathan Tah with him.

Bild reports that the ‘Klopp wave’ would intensify should Alonso seek a move away from Leverkusen.
It’s noted that Wirtz has already ‘tied his future’ at the Bundesliga club to that of Alonso.
As for Tah, the centre-back will be able to leave for a fee worth around 18 million euros in the summer due to a release clause.
It’s noted that Tah is also keen on a move to a ‘top club’ in the Premier League.
Wirtz and Tah are two players who have flourished under Alonso’s guidance.

The same goes for Wirtz, with reports suggesting just last month that the Reds are desperate to sign the talented youngster.
Wirtz has had a hand in 20 goals in 26 appearances this term and is already attracting interest from a host of top clubs.
Of course, it remains to be seen whether or not Alonso will emerge as Liverpool’s preferred target this summer.
He seems like the obvious candidate at this stage but the Reds haven’t even started interviewing potential candidates yet.
You often see managers linked with moves to a host of their old players after joining a new club. These moves rarely come to fruition but if Alonso is named as Klopp’s successor, a move for Tah or Wirtz could make sense considering their needs in defence and midfield at the moment.
