Liverpool could look to sign Weston McKennie during the January transfer window, with the Daily Mail reporting that they are open to further loan signings next month.
The Reds sprung a surprise on the final day of the summer window by bringing Arthur Melo in from Juventus for the season. Unfortunately, that move is yet to work out for either party, with the Brazilian struggling with injury.

Liverpool could look at Weston McKennie loan
They could therefore, look to use the loan market. And they could potentially go back to Juve for another of their midfielders.

It would be no surprise to see McKennie move to the Premier League at some stage. But Liverpool’s interest may be a real blow for Tottenham, who have been heavily linked with the 24-year-old for some time.
In fact, journalist Alasdair Gold previously claimed that Fabio Paratici thinks that McKennie is a ‘superstar’.
And he has since gone on to enjoy a very impressive World Cup with the USMNT.
McKennie was superb alongside Tyler Adams and Yunus Musah in Qatar. And he will have his sights set on being an absolutely vital member of the squad in 2026 when the US are co-hosts.
His time at Juventus has been mixed. But he has been in better form this season. And the Serie A side reportedly want £26 million if he is going to leave permanently (via Calciomercato).
So if there is scope for Liverpool to do a deal on loan in January, it may not be a terrible option for Jurgen Klopp.
