Liverpool could discuss selling Fabio Carvalho to RB Leipzig permanently during the January transfer window.
Fabio Carvalho has had a tough time since moving to Germany in the summer. The 22-year-old has not completed 90 minutes in the Bundesliga this season.
The winger has been a late substitute in Leipzig’s last two league games. And thus, it appeared that his loan could actually come to an early end in the winter.
Liverpool could sell Fabio Carvalho to RB Leipzig on permanent deal in January
Reports have suggested that Liverpool are in talks with Leipzig about ending Carvalho’s loan in January as the Reds are not happy with the minutes he has had.

ESPN has put together a transfer preview for some of the biggest clubs ahead of the January window. And their report claims that Liverpool could sell Carvalho to Leipzig permanently. It is noted that he could be one of the only players to leave Anfield permanently next month.
That would be a slightly surprising move from Liverpool. But much may come down to whether they see the £7.7 million youngster having a long-term future on Merseyside.
Permanent exit would be a surprise amid recent reports
Carvalho was bright when he got chances during his first year at Anfield. He scored in back-to-back games in August. But then, he only made three Premier League appearances after the end of October.
Jurgen Klopp has previously labelled Carvalho an ‘unbelievable‘ talent. However, Liverpool are getting back to their best. And they are now spoilt for choice in attack. So there looks to be a congested pathway in front of Carvalho.
Leipzig may feel that signing him permanently will benefit them in the long-run – even if he is not enjoying regular minutes right now.
But given how quiet the first-half of the season has been, it would surely be very surprising if Leipzig were now convinced that they need to make Carvalho’s move permanent as early as January.
