Liverpool have been linked with Leroy Sane in recent months and speculation is intensifying ahead of the January transfer window.
For instance, Calciomercato reported in August that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the Bayern Munich and Germany star.
Now, Sky Germany have provided an update on Sane’s future amid interest from Liverpool, who are mentioned in the article.
The news outlet notes how the £44million man has become an ‘offensive whirlwind’ with nine goals and seven assists from 18 club outings.
Sane’s deal runs until 2025, so Bayern have a pressing need to extend that and ensure he doesn’t enter next year in the final 12 months of his deal.
Klopp ‘probably wants’ Sane at Liverpool
This is especially concerning when the 27-year-old’s form and talent ‘naturally arouses the desires’ of other clubs, such as Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp ‘probably wants’ to lure Sane to Anfield, something that should make Bayern ‘a little worried’, according to the report.

This has reportedly led to the ball rolling in terms of a new contract. The Reds will therefore need to monitor proceedings closely and ready a charm offensive if these talks stall.
Sane is a world-class player who ticks pretty much every box for Liverpool. He’s in his prime, hugely talented, has a superb CV, an eye for goal, and is incredibly fast.
Indeed, he has clocked up 35.82km/h this season (Bundesliga website), more than Luis Diaz, who The Mirror has down at 35.52km/h.
Obviously it’ll be a tricky mission for Liverpool, as is often the case when you’re talking about signing one of the top players at a club, never mind a giant like Bayern.
