Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have expressed an interest in signing Manu Kone from Borussia Monchengladbach in the January transfer window.
That is according to TuttoJuve, which has named the Premier League club that Liverpool are facing competition from for Kone.
So, what has been reported about Liverpool and Manu Kone? Let’s take a look.
Liverpool competing with Tottenham Hotspur for Manu Kone
Well, according to TuttoJuve, Liverpool are interested in signing Manu Kone from Borussia Monchengladbach in the January transfer window.
The report in the Italian news outlet that Monchengladbach could sell Kone for €40 million (£34.68 million) this month.

TuttoJuve has reported that Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in Kone. Juventus like the Frenchman as well, but the Italian club will not pay €40 million (£34.68 million) for him.
My View: Liverpool do not need Manu Kone in January
In my view, Liverpool do not need to sign Manu Kone in the January transfer window. I do not think that manager Jurgen Klopp needs to add another midfielder to his squad in the middle of the season.
Liverpool signed as many as four new midfielders in the summer of 2023. Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch all arrived at Anfield.
Mac Allister and Szoboszlai have been superb for Liverpool so far this season, Endo is starting to make an impact, and Gravenberch could explode soon.
There is no reason for Liverpool to spend €40 million (£34.68 million) and bring in a new midfielder in January.
