177 Just a week ago it would have seemed quite fantical to link Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou with the Liverpool job.
Jurgen Klopp held the post as a legend of the club, and Postecoglou was only just getting started at Spurs.
However, following Klopp’s shock announcement that this will be his final season with the club, speculation is rife.
As of now, it seems as if Xabi Alonso, Roberto De Zerbi and Postecoglou are considered to be favourites for the Liverpool job.
It has now been revealed that Liverpool will take a data-led approach to finding their manager, but that’s unlikely to rule out any of the above.
That being said, Tottenham fans may now be quite concerned by the prospect of Postecoglou being tempted by Liverpool, he is said to be a fan of the club afterall.
However, according to football.london, Tottenham have no fears of Postecoglou leaving the club in the summer.
Be it Liverpool or Manchester City, the report explains that Spurs won’t entertain the idea of losing Postecoglou.
Postecoglou is said to be very excited about the project he has at the club, someone who is known to be very loyal.

Of course, there’s a good reason why Postecoglou does see so much potential at Spurs.
Not only are the club in a strong financial position to succeed in the next few years, but they are also progressing well with their squad rebuild.
Shifting the likes of Eric Dier for Radu Dragusin demonstrates how well both Daniel Levy and his manager are communicating.
There’s a clear direction and vision for the club, and it’s evident on the pitch too.
Postecoglou would seem very unlikely to want to turn his back on a project that is so well prepared for his impression.
That being said, Liverpool fans must also feel that their club is primed for their next manager.
It has proved a big struggle to replace Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson at Arsenal and Manchester United in the last decade.
However, Klopp’s Liverpool project still looks incredibly healthy, it’s so well position for the next era.
Tottenham fans will surely be pleased that both Postecoglou and the club would be resistant to a Liverpool exit this summer, but they may still have some slight concerns.
And the swift appointment of Alonso or De Zerbi at Liverpool would surely be very welcome in North London.
That being said, Spurs fans have had some news to be concerned about today already.
