Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal want to sign Dominic Solanke, a player Liverpool sold back in 2019.
That is according to The Daily Star, which has noted Bournemouth’s stance on the striker.
So, what has been reported about Arsenal and Dominic Solanke? Let’s take a look.
Arsenal linked with former Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke
Well, according to The Daily Star, Arsenal are interested in signing Dominic Solanke from Premier League rivals Bournemouth in the January transfer window.
Arsenal’s main target next month is Ivan Toney, but the North London club do not want to pay over the odds for the Brentford striker.

“Bigwigs at the Emirates have been impressed by the 26-year-old’s hard-working displays at the south-coast club and believe he can still improve,” states the report.
The Daily Star has claimed that Bournemouth value Solanke at £50 million. The Cherries signed the striker from Liverpool in 2019 for £19 million. West Ham United have also been linked.
Dominic Solanke has improved since leaving Liverpool
I do not think that Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke is world class. In my view, Arsenal should aim for someone who is better than the former Liverpool player and who is ‘elite’.
However, I have to say that Solanke has improved a lot since leaving Liverpool for Bournemouth in January 2019. He works hard for the team and scores important goals.
According to The Daily Star, the 26-year-old has scored 65 goals and given 28 assists in 193 matches for the Cherries.
The Englishman, who described by former Bournemouth manager Scott Parker as a striker whose “work ethic is incredible”, has scored eight goals and given one assist in 16 Premier League matches this season.
