Liverpool are set for a new era from this summer onwards as Jurgen Klopp prepares to step down from the Anfield hotseat.
The Reds have moved quickly to agree a deal with his successor. Feyenoord’s Arne Slot is set to take the Liverpool reins at the end of the season.
Liverpool and FSG have also made some boardroom appointments to try and ensure as much continuity as possible in wake of Klopp’s exit.
Michael Edwards has become FSG’s CEO of Football and Richard Hughes is set to become Liverpool’s new sporting director.
Both, as well as Slot, will look to put together and execute the Reds’ transfer policy for the summer, and there’s certainly a lot of work to do.
One area Liverpool must bolster is the defence, with Joel Matip expected to leave Anfield at the end of the season.

One of those is Sporting Lisbon’s Goncalo Inacio, a player who Liverpool and Klopp have been following for a long time.
According to the report, Slot is also very keen on the 22-year-old, who reportedly has a €60million release clause.
The Dutchman is also eyeing Eintracht Frankfurt’s Willian Pacho, according to the report.
Who is Liverpool target Goncalo Inacio?
Inacio has come through the ranks at Sporting – after starting out at Almada – and is now one of their key players.
The 22-year-old has been deemed ‘one of the hottest talents in Europe’, as per a Daily Mail scouting report.
Inacio has already made 167 competitive appearances for Sporting, registering 15 goals and nine assists, a good tally for a centre-back.
He has also won six Portugal caps and has scored twice for them, testament to how good he already is and what a high ceiling he has.
Fans and peers rate Inacio highly. For instance, Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes deemed him a “matador” on Instagram after he scored for Portugal on international duty.
