Chelsea could reportedly consider a loan move for former Liverpool attacker Roberto Firmino, with the Blues already linked with Jordan Henderson.
The west London side have endured a frustrating January transfer window so far as Mauricio Pochettino’s side are yet to land that world-class striker that has alluded Chelsea all month.
With Victor Osimhen or Ivan Toney unlikely to turn up at Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks, Chelsea are turning their attention elsewhere on striking targets, and Saudi Arabia could provide the answer.

Considered by the likes of John Barnes as a modern Liverpool ‘legend’, the Brazilian international only made the move to Saudi Arabia this summer when Firmino’s contract with the Reds expired.
And with Chelsea already reportedly interested in signing fellow former Liverpool player Henderson, a move for Firmino feels like a realistic bet from the Blues considering their need for a world-class attacker.
Roberto Firmino could be a top short-term signing for Chelsea

And for a club like Chelsea and their endless amount of underperforming attackers, a link-man like Firmino could be the key to getting the best out of Pochettino’s current options.
As we know, the likes of Nicolas Jackson, Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk have underperformed this season, yet a new teammate in Firmino could be what’s needed to unlock the trio’s full potential.
Moreover, on a short-term deal, the transfer could work for Chelsea on a financial level, meaning no more restrictions have been breached or tested in the process.
