Liverpool are set for a busy summer transfer window.
The Reds have a new manager and a new recruitment team in place, and they’ll be looking to make a splash in the transfer window this summer.
A number of exciting players have already been linked with a move to Liverpool, and according to AS, the Reds are now keen on a star player from one of their Premier League rivals.

According to AS, Liverpool are keen on Bruno Guimaraes.
The Reds are said to have asked about the Brazilian earlier this year, while they have him on their roadmap as they plan for life after Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool do still need to do work on their midfield this summer despite making four signings in these key areas last summer, and Guimaraes could be just what the doctor ordered.
Interestingly the £40m midfielder isn’t the only Newcastle player the Reds have been linked with as Anthony Gordon is also said to be on the Merseyside club’s radar.
Bruno Guimaraes could be a realistic signing for Liverpool
This would be one of the signings of the summer if Liverpool managed to pull it off, and it just may be possible.
The Reds still have a massive amount of money burning a hole in their pocket after failing to sign Moises Caicedo last summer after a £111m bid.
Guimaraes would be expensive, but with a £100m release clause in place this summer, the Reds have an easy route towards signing him should they wish to cough up the cash.
Of course, getting this sort of deal done won’t be easy, especially as Arsenal and Manchester City have also been credited with an interest.
Guimaraes has proven just how good he is at Premier League level, and he could be the last piece of this Liverpool midfield puzzle alongside Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister.
