Liverpool have started their process to find a replacement for Jurgen Klopp, and Hansi Flick is now on their shortlist.
The next few months will be Klopp’s last as Liverpool manager. He will leave massive shoes to fill at Anfield, and FSG have already started looking for his successor. Flick has today emerged as a surprise target.

Liverpool’s owners have a huge job on their hands as they look for Jurgen Klopp‘s replacement.
It hasn’t even been a week since the German announced he is leaving the club, but the Reds have been linked with plenty of names already.
SportBild share the latest on the situation, and they, like many others, have named Xabi Alonso and Roberto De Zerbi as targets for Liverpool.
The German outlet also say Julian Nagelsmann is someone the Reds are looking at, but an outside name on their list is former Bayern Munich and Germany boss Hansi Flick.
The 58-year-old has been without a job since DFB sacked him in September last year. He has been waiting in the wings for a new role, and the Liverpool job could open up.
However, the report claims Xabi Alonso is the Reds’ top target and Flick is only on the ‘extended circle’ of their shortlist for the summer.

Hansi Flick’s time as Germany’s manager wasn’t a great one.
The 58-year-old managed just 12 wins in 25 games as the boss of Die Mannschaft, and his reputation took a slight hit when he was shown the door four months ago.
However, Flick’s quality speaks for itself when you look at his time at Bayern Munich. He won the treble there in the 2019-20 season, becoming only the second manager in the club’s illustrious history to achieve that feat.
Even Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp praised Flick at the time, telling German station ZDF: “I’m not sure how many Bayern coaches have won the treble… Jupp Heynckes and Hansi Flick.
“Writing more history in eight months would be quite difficult to do!”
