Joao Palhinha is dreaming of signing for Barcelona amid claims that his advisors are trying to encourage Liverpool to make a move for the midfielder.
Joao Palhinha has been one of the most impressive midfielders in the Premier League since his move to Fulham. Unsurprisingly, he has been linked with a host of heavyweight clubs.
Arsenal and Manchester City want Palhinha. Meanwhile, it was claimed this week that his advisors had spoken to both Liverpool and Chelsea to see if they would be interested in making an offer for the 28-year-old.

The Reds certainly need greater reinforcements in the middle of the park. Wataru Endo has silenced a lot of his doubters in recent weeks. But Liverpool do not have an obvious replacement for the Japan international when he is not available.

But it seems that the Portuguese’s dream move would take him elsewhere. According to a report from Sport, Palhinha is dreaming of joining Barcelona.
Unsurprisingly, a move is said to be complicated due to Barca’s financial position. The former Sporting man meanwhile, is apparently valued at around £51.6 million.
The Catalan giants are big admirers of Palhinha. And thus, a move to La Liga is deemed to be unlikely.
Reds may not mind seeing midfielder leave the Premier League
You would imagine that the Fulham star would probably be attracting a lot more offers if he was a few years younger.
Palhinha has been exceptional in the Premier League. But he turns 29 in the summer. And with that, some clubs may have their concerns about how long he has left at his peak.
Liverpool are not a club who tend to spend big on older players. So they may be unmoved by Palhinha wanting to join Barcelona. But they may perhaps welcome the idea of him moving there as it rules out the chance of him joining another Premier League side.
