Liverpool showed great resilience to win at Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Reds came from behind to run out 2-1 winners at Selhurst Park in a game where numerous Anfield players struggled.
One of those was Wataru Endo, who received criticism from Premier League Productions pundit Matt Holland during the game.
The Liverpool summer signing has improved massively of late, but he wasn’t at his best against the Eagles.
Endo kept his place from the 2-0 win in midweek, but he seemed to struggle with Palace’s physicality and at times looked a little overwhelmed in midfield.

The 30-year-old seemed hesitant in possession and was caught out a couple of times following some poor touches.
Jurgen Klopp ended up subbing Endo off at half-time. Trent Alexander-Arnold moved into midfield in the second half after Joe Gomez replaced Endo.
During the first half, there was a moment in which Virgil van Dijk brought Odsonne Edouard down, initially leading to a penalty.
Referee Andy Madley was called to the pitchside monitor to review a possible foul by Will Hughes on Endo in the build-up.
The referee duly cancelled out the penalty after VAR showed that the Liverpool summer signing had been impeded.
Holland said, as per the Premier League website (9/12/23, 13:01): “I think they’ve come to the correct decision, but it’s a real warning sign for Liverpool and Endo, you don’t have that much time.
“I think it’s the third time he’s lost the ball in the centre, he has to be more careful.”
Wataru Endo experiences off day for Liverpool
The £16million summer signing had been starting to move up the gears at Anfield, which has been great to see.
However, Endo was off the pace against Palace. Admittedly, numerous other Liverpool players were as well, and it’s something they’ll all need to work with.
The Reds showed amazing resilience to battle on and get over the line, so at least there are no concerns about points dropped.
However, Endo will no doubt be gutted over how he did and will work hard to ensure he can quickly get back to his A game.
