Owen Hargreaves has lauded Mohamed Salah and claimed that the consistency he has showed throughout his Liverpool career is remarkable.
Hargreaves was speaking on The Kelly and Wrighty Show after the Egyptian scored his 200th goal for the Reds on Saturday as they came from behind to beat Crystal Palace.
Mohamed Salah is definitely in the conversation when it comes to who features in an all-time Liverpool XI. The 31-year-old has been an unbelievable signing for the Reds. And incredibly, there are no signs that he is reaching the end of his peak.
Owen Hargreaves amazed by Mohamed Salah
Salah has already scored 11 goals in 16 games in the Premier League this season. Meanwhile, he has also contributed seven assists. And his latest goal proved to be a landmark one.

Salah has scored those 200 goals in just 327 games for the club. And Owen Hargreaves admitted that he has been blown away by how reliable he has been.
“He’s just a super special player,” he told The Kelly and Wrighty Show. “The consistency is elite level he plays at. Firmino’s gone, Mane’s gone. I think this season Salah’s played the most minutes, got the most goals, most assists. And the one constant you get with Liverpool is Mo Salah scoring goals and being an amazing player.
“You could argue he’s probably the player of the season so far, probably the best player in the Premier League along with Haaland or Declan Rice. But he’s there. And to be top of the league, 200 goals, 150 in the Premier League, quite remarkable what he’s been able to achieve. The consistency at the elite level he plays at, I find is remarkable.”
‘Elite level’
Salah has never scored fewer than 23 goals in a single season for Liverpool. And he is already up to 14 for this campaign in all competitions.
It is incredible, particularly when you think that Salah has never been a striker for the Reds, instead playing out on the right where he does have to work hard for the team.
Plenty questioned Liverpool spending £37 million on Salah following his quiet spell at Chelsea. But given where the fees have gone in the years since, it is hard to think of many bigger bargains in Premier League history.
