Virgil van Dijk and Harvey Elliott were amongst those to laud Jarell Quansah on social media after the defender’s display as Liverpool beat Burnley on Boxing Day.
Jarell Quansah came back into the Reds side for the trip to Turf Moor. The 20-year-old was an unused substitute against both Manchester United and Arsenal.
Liverpool went top of the Premier League with the victory, with Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota scoring in either half for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Liverpool do appear to have a fantastic talent on their hands. Trent Alexander-Arnold hailed Quansah as extraordinary after he made his debut in the dramatic win at Newcastle earlier this season.
And the plaudits have continued since.
Liverpool have won every Premier League game he has featured in. And he recently opened his account in front of goal in the final game of the Europa League group-stages.
Of course, he is not yet the finished article. But he is proving that he could have an important role to play while Joel Matip is out injured.
Burnley asked questions of the Reds. But the visitors dealt with their threat very well. Alisson Becker did not have a single save to make over the 90 minutes.
Quansah certainly deserves some of the credit for that after another assured display.
