127 Two of the Premier League’s biggest teams may well be looking for a new manager this summer.
Jurgen Klopp has already announced that he’s leaving Liverpool at the end of this season, while Erik Ten Hag’s job at Manchester United is far from safe.
The two most successful clubs in English football history could both be looking for new managers this summer, and that’s very interesting to say the least.
These two sides will certainly be fishing in the same sorts of ponds, and speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show, Ian Wright has been discussing which team will be more appealing to a manager.
Wright says that the Liverpool job will be more appealing to any manager, because of their squad make-up with a good blend of experienced players and young stars.
Liverpool more appealing than Manchester United
Wright shared his verdict on these two potential vacancies.
“For me with Man Utd it will have to come to the manager. Is he the guy to take them forward once they sort it out structurally?” Wright said of Ten Hag.
“I’d probably go with Liverpool. It seems to me that Klopp will leave Liverpool in a great place with the experienced players and the young players coming through, you feel like you’re going to a structure that suits you, but you’d be going to United simply because of the name and what the name brings globally. I’d probably pick Liverpool right now.”

Wright is spot on here.
Liverpool’s squad is utterly brilliant, the senior players almost manage themselves at this point, and they have so many exciting youngsters coming through.
Meanwhile, there’s been dressing room drama at Man United for the best part of 10 years, and a lot of the players in the current squad have contributed to that.
A massive rebuild is still needed at Old Trafford, while, at Liverpool, there’s just the odd tweak here or there that is necessary.
The Liverpool job is way more appealing than the United job at this moment in time, that’s for sure.
