Liverpool spent all summer chasing new midfielders, and while four were signed up, another one could be on the way.
Indeed, Andre Trindade has been linked with a move to Anfield for a little while now, and as the South American season comes to a close, he’ll soon be free to leave Fluminense.
The January transfer window is just around the corner, and according to Graeme Bailey, speaking on the Fully Loaded Transfer Show, the £25m midfielder is probably going to sign for Liverpool in the winter window.

Bailey shared what he knows about the young midfielder.
“There’s the Copa Liberatadores final at the weekend and there are a couple of players Newcastle have been linked with. Valentin Barco at Boca and also Andre the midfielder in there who is probably going to go to Liverpool in January,” Bailey said.
Rebuild complete
Of course, it remains to be seen whether or not Liverpool do actually get this deal done, but if they do end up signing Andre, you’d have to assume that is the final piece of the midfield puzzle.
That’s five new midfielder signed in the space of six months, and while we don’t want to exaggerate, there’s an argument to be made that they’re saving the best for last.
Andre is a phenomenal talent. He’s already a Brazil international, and he would complement the likes of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai perfectly in that Liverpool midfield.
The Reds needed to freshen things up in the middle of the park this season, and it sounds as though they’re going to do that to some tune with this addition on top of the four signings they made in the summer.
This could be a very exciting signing that shores up Liverpool’s midfield for the best part of the next decade.
