Thiago may have actually played his final game for Liverpool in Sunday’s 3-1 defeat against Arsenal.
That is according to Neil Jones.
So, what is the latest on Thiago at Liverpool? Let’s take a look…
Thiago may have already played his last game for Liverpool
Well – according to Jones – the Spain international’s injury setback is a “pretty serious” one.
Thiago had missed the entirety of the season before Sunday’s 3-1 defeat at the Emirates Stadium, where he was able to play the final five minutes.
However, the £20m man – who was recently praised by Martin Odegaard – aggravated a hamstring in that space of time, and may not play another game for Liverpool with his contract set to expire in June.

The Liverpool No.6 is now 32 years of age – turning 33 in April – and it seems his future may lie in a less intense league once his contract expires in June.
Liverpool already have a Thiago replacement
In our view, Liverpool do not need to enter the market to replace Thiago this summer – the Reds already have an ideal replacement in Stefan Bajcetic.
The 19-year-old performed remarkably well after breaking into Jürgen Klopp’s starting XI last season, showing real maturity to pick the ball up in a deep No.6 role, before turning smartly and breaking the lines on a regular basis.

The 19-year-old has struggled with a calf problem, which has limited him to just two appearances this season.
Hopefully, Liverpool can get Bajcetic back to full fitness in time for pre-season, and he can pick up from where he left off in the 2024/25 campaign.
