Replacing Mohamed Salah is an incredibly unenviable task, but it’s something that Liverpool need to be considering in the coming years.
Indeed, it’s a huge shame to say it, but the Egyptian’s time at Anfield could be coming towards an end.
Rumours of a further record Saudi Arabian bid won’t go away, and the winger could well be leaving prematurely.
If Salah does go, Liverpool will need a replacement, and finding the man who’s up to that task won’t be easy.
However, speaking on Premier League Productions, Don Hutchison has suggested that Liverpool should try to train up a winger who has been scoring at a rate similar to how Salah did at Roma and Fiorentina, rather than signing the finished product.
One player Hutchison recommended was West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen, suggesting that the 26-year-old could well be turned into Salah’s replacement, even if he’s not there just yet.

Hutchison shared his verdict on how Livrpool should replace Salah.
“When they look at Mo Salah Liverpool fans have a little bit of a panic saying ‘if we sell Mo Salah it will be devastating.’ It is, but there are players out there who are hitting 12 like he did at Fiorentina, you can turn these players, like the Jarrod Bowen’s of this world, not sure into Mo Salah’s numbers because it’s phenomenal, but it’s credit to Jurgen, the club and the player himself for wanting to improve,” Hutchison said.

Liverpool need a very specific type of player if they are to find a Salah replacement, and Bowen is one of few that fit the bill.
Much like Salah, Bowen is a speedy left-footer who operates on the right wing and has a serious eye for goal.
Of course, he doesn’t score at the same rate as Salah, but perhaps in a more creative team, he can get more chances and ultimately score more goals.
Bowen is a talent, and perhaps he could well be Liverpool’s Salah replacement when the time comes.
