132 With all the commotion around Liverpool’s huge game last Sunday, talk of who will eventually replace Jurgen Klopp has perhaps quietened down.
Right now it seems as though Liverpool are focused on getting the right structure in place first so Klopp’s replacement can thrive next season.
Although, given the club have some fairly lofty names on their list of potential replacements, they may also need to move swiftly to secure the right person.
Perhaps the favourites for the job are still Xabio Alonso and Ruben Amorim, two fine young candidates, but the likes of Roberto De Zerbi and Julian Nagelsmann still seem close by.
A lot might depend on who Bayern Munich move for, especially if they are able to convince Alonso to stay in Germany.
That being said, journalist Florian Plettenberg has now been providing some insight into Julian Nagelsmann’s future, who is currently boss of the German national team.
Sharing his update on X, Plettenberg said that Nagelsmann now wants to decide his future perhaps as soon as next month.

The journalist explained that Nagelsmann doesn’t want unnecessary distractions during the Euros this summer, and wants to sort things out soon.
He explained: “Nagelsmann: He wants to make a future decision before the EUROs! Possibly in April or May.
“Ideally he wants to announce a new club before the tournament!
“Nagelsmann wants to make a conscious decision early to have clarity. During the tournament and just before it, he wants to fully focus on the tournament and not make his future a topic.”
Of course, having been linked with the Liverpool job, ‘phenomenal’ Nagelsmann has also been mentioned as a potential candidate for Borussia Dortmund.
It certainly seems as if there will be something of a managerial merry-go-round this summer, and in truth it should be a good time for Liverpool to find a replacement for Jurgen Klopp.
As said, it seems as if Bayern Munich will also play a huge role when deciding who to replace Thomas Tuchel with.
And it will certainly be intriguing to see how Liverpool time the appointment of their next boss.
