There’ve been plenty of rumours about who could come to Anfield in the coming months, and one player who has been spoken about on numerous occasions is Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich.
The German is said to be a player the Reds are keen on, and speaking to Squawka, Glen Johnson has claimed that the 28-year-old would be the perfect signing for the Reds.

“Joshua Kimmich would be perfect for Liverpool. With his contract situation he’s not going to be a mind blowing deal in terms of price and he’s world class. He would be brilliant in that deep midfield role for Liverpool, helping the team and players around him to play the attacking football they want to by holding down that midfield. He’d be a great addition to the Liverpool side,” Johnson said.
Ticks every box
As Johnson says, this could well be the perfect signing for Liverpool.
Kimmich pretty much ticks every box for the Reds.
He plays at both holding midfield and right-back – two positions that need addressing, he wouldn’t be too expensive, and he comes with bags of experience.
No matter who Liverpool’s next manager is, Kimmich would surely be a good addition to this Liverpool squad, and with the Reds said to be very keen on signing him this summer, this could well be one to watch.
Kimmich to Liverpool could well end up being the signing of the summer if this deal gets the greenlight come the end of the season.
