The Reds’ owners have a humongous job on their hands over the next few months as they look to appoint a new manager. The ideal scenario for Liverpool would be to find someone similar to Klopp, and Robinson believes Postecoglou is that man.

Jurgen Klopp shocked everybody last week after announcing he will be leaving the club at the end of this season.
The German is one of the best managers in the world. He will leave a massive void at Anfield when he walks away, and replacing him will not be easy.
Xabi Alonso is the name on everyone’s mind right now, and Karl Robinson admitted that the Spaniard is the obvious choice for every fan.
However, he then suggested Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou for the Liverpool job, claiming the Australian is similar to Klopp.
Robinson, who manages Salford City in EFL League Two, said on Sky Sports’ Deadline Day coverage this afternoon: “For me, moving forward, Xabi Alonso is the obvious one as a fan.
“Maybe one which some people won’t like is Ange Postecoglou. You are asking me who is the most like him, has the most energy, plays with an aggressive line and isn’t afraid to leave defenders defending one vs one, everything going forward and players connect with him as well.
“But listen whoever comes in is going to end up with a team which Jurgen Klopp has built and is young and full of energy.”
Ange Postecoglou would be amazing at Liverpool
Tottenham appointed Ange Postecoglou as their new manager last summer, and that has been the best footballing decision Daniel Levy has taken in years.
The Aussie, 58, has completely transformed Spurs. Gone are the days when the North Londoners would play boring, defensive football that would make you fall asleep.
They are among the most exciting teams in the country now, and Spurs really do look like they can achieve something special.
Liverpool have a much better squad than Tottenham. If Postecoglou is doing such a good job at Spurs, imagine what he would do at Anfield with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold at his disposal.
There’s just no way Tottenham will allow Postecoglou to leave, but if there is any chance, Liverpool should seriously consider the Australian.
